This quilt was made in memory of Kay Smith, on her death in July of 2003. Kay was an employee of the library for more than 25 years. This quilt was made by Wendy Lehmoine and donated by the Kay Smith Memorial Fund, the City of Wayland, and the Henika District Library.  Donated November of 2003.

This quilt was made and donated by Wendy Lehmoine.

The only outdoor sculpture in town! This art piece is our bike-rack. Our Board President, Gary Marsh painstakingly installed this for the library in the summer of 2001.

The Henika Ladies Library was built and established in 1899. The building is on the Michigan Historic Register.

Local artist, Rose Redding painted and donated this beautiful carousel horse to the library. This piece graces the stairwell to the youth area.

This remarkable quilt was designed and handcrafted by Wendy Lehmoine. The quilt measures eighty by sixty six inches and contains hundreds of individually appliquéd pieces. The window looking out to a flower garden contains two hundred and twenty five squares. Many other pieces were hand dyed or hand painted. Donated December of 2001.

A local Girl Scout Troop made these cool stepping stones and donated them along with beautifying the front flower garden.

This sculpture was given in memory of Dennis Reno, a former Board President.
